Aaron’s clients commissioned him to design something for their living-room fireplace, inspiration came from their many trips to Italy. The artwork for the pilasters is inspired by marble carvings from the Verona Town Hall (sixteenth century). The frieze artwork comes from the choir railing in S. Maria dei Miracoli, Venice (fifteenth century).
